Super Cute Fonts (Personal & Commercial Use–TOTALLY FREE!!)

Totally Free Fonts

I admit it.  I have a new addiction…other than blog stalking and Pinterest!  FONTS!!  I love fonts!!  I know, you’re probably thinking I’m crazy right about now!  That’s OK, you will find your font addiction soon, too, if you visit this website that I just found.

I know that there are lots of websites out there that offer “free” fonts, but many of them do not allow you to use their fonts on products that are not for personal use only.  So be careful!!  You don’t want to use a font on TpT or even on your website/blog that is for you only.  I just recently downloaded like…50 new fonts from www.fontsquirrel.com.  There is a plethora of fonts to choose from, and all of them allow you to use them commercially!

If you are looking for new fonts for back to school, head over to Font Squirrel for some awesome new fonts!!  I included the picture to show off a few of the new ones that I downloaded.

What is your favorite *FREE* font website?  I would love to hear from you!!  (It’s OK, if you admit you have an addiction, it’s not as bad….right??)  🙂

Back To School Forms: Getting To Know You (Student Survey)

Getting to know youNext up is a student survey.  I like to get to know my students on a deeper level than some, so I created a student survey for the students to fill out during the first week of school.  The survey also serves as a conversation piece when it comes to writing.  I get so tired of students telling me that they have nothing to write about, so this is another way to conjure some ideas out of them!  To download the file, click here –> Getting to Know You.

Back To School Forms: Classroom Job Application

11After browsing Pinterest for awhile, I came across some teachers who had the brilliant idea of creating a Classroom Job Application.  I thought they were super cute, but I wanted to create one of my own.  I plan to create a board that has a HELP WANTED section where I can post the job types and positions.  I have several classroom jobs, and I try to assign a job to each student, even if it means that two students take on the same job.  Every other year I have just assigned jobs to students who I felt would be good for them, but I decided to let the students tell me what jobs they would like to have and why they would be good for the job.

Feel free to take this application and use it in your classroom.  To get the printable file, click here–>Classroom Job Application.

Parent Communication Log

Parent communicationI think the next few days I will be uploading more documents that I’ve been creating.  Today’s FREEBIE: Parent Communication Log.  It’s simple, but exactly what I need.  I have other documents that house phone numbers and important information, so I wanted this form to be skimpy and just focus on the communication rather than have too much on them.  I’ll print one for each student to put behind the parent survey.  I have the Word format, so I can always adjust it if I find that I left something off.  Do you use parent communication forms?  If so, what information do you put on yours?  I’d love to hear back!

Parent Survey

I’ve been working on some documents for the beginning of the year.  I have created a BOY (Beginning Of Year) parent survey that can be used with any grade level.  Feel free to use it or change it for your needs.

Is there something else that you would like to see on it?  If so, please leave me a comment and I will try to add it and repost.  At our school, the teachers are given cards with lots of other information, including address, special needs, comments from the previous teacher, and educational data, so I left some of those things off intentionally, but I can make one personalized for you if you want it.  Just let me know!  Click here to download the file –> Parent Survey.

Earn FREE School Supplies!

Teachers LOVE free stuff. Even if it’s just something small and useless to put in the prize box, we love getting things for free.

I came across a legitimate website where you can rack up points for free school supplies. Actually, you pick what you want since you earn gift cards to Amazon. It’s a site that gives you points for taking surveys, trying new apps, watching YouTube, playing games, and more. Each point is worth $0.01, so 100 points = $1.00.

You can check it out here.

FREE Technology for Teachers

FREE.  I love that word.  FREE.

As I was reading through numerous blogs, I came across http://www.freetech4teachers.com/ and was amazed at the plethora of helpful information about technology that can be used in the classroom.  I thought that this was too good to keep to myself, so I wanted to share it with those of you following my blog.  I hope you enjoy perusing this site as much as I do!!

By the way, there is a link on that website to http://www.wideo.co–you HAVE to check that out!  It’s now one of my new hobbies.  I will be creating some videos to use in my classroom with this new tool.  Don’t worry, I’ll post my “wideos” to my blog for you to view and/or use in your classroom!!
